JOINERY, PAINTING AND DECORATING Ian and his team did a fantastic job at short notice. My tenants had left my house in a complete mess and needing extensive repairs. Ian’s price was very competitive and he suggested some lower cost alternatives to allow me to repair rather than replace items. Ian kept me updated throughout the job and was happy to make short notice changes. His team did a good job with all works from tiling, garden clearing, junk removal and painting and decorating. I would recommend Ian.

Partial rating just now as I am waiting on a response from the insurance company. Ian contacted me and arranged to visit to provide a quote after a flood). He corresponded by text and arrived when arranged, Kept in touch the whole time. Can’t thank Ian enough, took the stress out of it for me, as it’s very difficult and frustrating when no one comes back to you etc etc (bad luck with trades people in past). Highly recommend and quote was reasonable and well presented.

We needed to start work quickly and Ian was quick off the mark and had largely good reviews. I would not reemploy him and his contractors. Still recovering from the shock of seeing the flat after it was allegedly completed on two occasions... The standard of work was sub-DIY: paintwork not prepared, floors not properly sanded, dirt varnished into them, paint drips all over floors and furniture, lock broke after first use etc. He did attend to a few minor ‘snaggings’ but we gave up with the major issues.

  we carried out additional works as requested at various times throughout the job and we came across a drainage problem within the toilets which added more time onto the job as for the floors it was pointed out to astrid that they were different colours of wood and that they had a lot of spaces and she was quite happy to do what we could with them,we stripped all the doors as they were to be oiled and then they changed there mind to paint them woodwork was u/coated and eggshelled there snagging list was comp

  last week katrin had accused us of fitting the original washbasin to bathroom but unfortunately for her she was totally wrong and that the new one we fitted was pure white and a different shade from the original,she also said the shower was not fitted properly as no water was coming out when we adjusted the control on the shower head the water came out no problem she had decided to use the bath but could not drain the water away as she did not know how to use a pop up waste very nieve,

  she also failed to pay for additional paint purchased, and the marmoleum vinyl which they requested, I had a good idea there was going to be a problem last week when she accused us of fitting the original basin and then she appoligised but that did not leave us in a good frame of mind

  Ian had a lot of time to rectify the problems, which are too many to go into within the word count. Since my original post further problems have come to light. We’re arranging for an independent inspection prior to settling with him.

  This is getting out of hand we have completed the snagging issues that were highlighted to us if there are other issues all Katrin had to do was contact us and we would address them we are not getting that option
