Revised review. I originally gave a 1 star review to Bill Osborne(RL Contracts)for the substandard work that he undertook solely. He told me that this review had to be removed for me to receive a partial refund. Which I did. To finish the extension, I have retained the sub contractors that he originally employed as their work has been exemplary. I have spent the past month repeating work that he undertook personally (roofing/plumbing) and am massively out of pocket even with a refund. HENCE THE ONE STAR

Gary was actually the only tradesman who gave me a quote in the end but I am very happy with the job that he and his team did. He was pretty much always there at exactly the time he said he would come and the work was completed within the time stated. I’m still cleaning up days later - glue absolutely everywhere. All up my newly painted skirting boards, up my doors and glue all over new vinyl. No care was taken to prevent the glue from getting everywhere. Plus why would you join the doors by putting vinyl over vinyl? So there’s an obvious bump as you come in through the door. Floor bars were rammed in so he damaged paint. I’ve had to remove the floor bars myself and cut the vinyl to flatten the bumps and I paid full price for all of this?

There was a problem with getting an even colour on the refinished floor. Apparently two types of sanders are needed for the perimeter of the room and the middle. The perimeter took the stain more and this wasn't taken into account so the floor had to be re-stained darker to make the colour difference less noticeable. Also, the final finish scratches easily.

Michael McGowan from Greenline Roofing came out. We had been let down previously and he was aware of this. They did the job that afternoon. We paid them. They put 4 vents in the roof, which ended up causing more leaks. They said someone would send someone out to fix it, they didn't. They said they would phone back, they didn't. No response to any messages. We have had to get someone out to fix the vents that were put in the wrong way. The word 'inside' is on the outside of the vents fitted. No money back.
