Avoid Wayne from Blackwell Roofing. He quoted £380 based on photos, then came to view the job from the ground—no proper inspection. He later climbed a ladder with no safety gear, started tearing down fascia, then suddenly claimed the job was £1,600. When I asked him to stop, he became aggressive, shouting and throwing tools and wood down dangerously. I felt threatened and unsafe in my own home. Totally unprofessional, dishonest, and intimidating. Do not hire him.

Nick will probably visit your home within a couple of hours of posting the job (making you feel confident that your job will be finished as quickly as you need it to be) send you links to the materials to be purchased, ask for deposit and then stop all forms of communication. Dan gave a quote and completed the job very well. Toilet flush improved after Dan improved the installation with an improved isolation and flush valve. He is clearly experienced and reliable. He also improved a second toilet on a further visit and diagnosed the problem with the third toilet in my parents house. This week he is replacing that final toilet with a new one. He did two excellent jobs, gave up front quotes, stuck to the price and was punctual and polite.
