George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. Phil was contactable throughout the project to answer any questions I had on things, and even with a hold up due to a third-party supplier managed to move things around to get my build done quickly. The work is first class, I was kept informed as to what was going on, both himself and his contractor worked in a clean and tidy manner and the work was completed at the quoted price (which was very competitive). Andrew is a nice guy and does quality work, but for kitchen tiling I am afraid to say is very slow; approx 4 tiles per hour (100x200mm) or 0.8 sq m a day (10 hours). I personally (a diy'er) can do 15 tiles an hour - i.e. 4 times faster. £250 at day is expensive. (My electrician is £175 a day) I ended up capping the job at £600 and decided to complete tiling and grouting myself after 3 days. I would not have hired Andrew if I knew he was this slow and as a result expensive.
