We engaged with Patrick at Rose Paving to improve a desperately unkempt pathway in our rear garden. From his initial attendance to quote and then throughout the pre-works period, the standard of communication and planning were top notch. We were extremely happy with the quoted final price, the works (as we had a few issues to deal with which they handled excellently) and the sign off - and would recommend Rose Paving to any one.

We hired Cani Building Services to replace the front stairs and pathway of our Victorian home with granite pavers in the spring of 2025. When evaluating the builders it was important to us that we found somebody who was professional, reliable, and detail-oriented. After an initial very swift reply and quote that was hundreds of pounds less than others there was an initial visit followed by weeks of no contact. After chasing there was another visit and then 3 months of no replying to messages. Suspect he quoted too low but a massive waste of time.

Fired him for appalling work, no-shows and delays; see his other bad reviews. He's a middle man; does not do any work; got others to do it like a plumber, then a tiler the next day; slow work made worse when someone messed up or did not show up. Ali only shows to deliver materials or check work. Quick to reply when wanting the job. Slow/no response once job starts thinking you wont cancel. Materials I paid not returned; take every receipt and check you keep/use every item as he will even for wipes/tape

James arrived at the agreed time and after going up to survey the chimney produced a detailed plan and quotation and showed me photos.The price was fair and the work was undertaken straight away. An efficient and professional job, also did a couple of other small things I asked for. Also shared photos of the completed work, no way are those crows bothering us again now!!

Avoid Wayne from Blackwell Roofing. He quoted £380 based on photos, then came to view the job from the ground—no proper inspection. He later climbed a ladder with no safety gear, started tearing down fascia, then suddenly claimed the job was £1,600. When I asked him to stop, he became aggressive, shouting and throwing tools and wood down dangerously. I felt threatened and unsafe in my own home. Totally unprofessional, dishonest, and intimidating. Do not hire him.

I call Phill and sons 3 days ago to fix a leak on my roof. I did have the valley fix by an other roofer but they did not do anything just to take my money. I was a bit suspicious but I was happily surprise when I call Phill who repond to my call very quicly. He is very friendly and most of all very professional.
